His Excellence Mr. AkbarAl Baker, Qatar Airways Chief Executive delivered the speech with a focus on the success achieved by the airline during the world cup in bringing people together while supporting tourism expansion in Qatar.

Qatar Airways reveals expansion plans during the first day of the travel show in Germany. With seven new routes, the airline will now serve Chittagong, Juba, Kinshasa, Lyon, Medan, Toulouse, and Trabzon.

Additionally, it is also interesting to note destinations where flights are resuming in 2023: Beijing, Birmingham, Buenos Aires, Casablanca, Davao, Marrakesh, Nice, Osaka, Phnom Penh, Ras Al-Khaimah and Tokyo Haneda.

Over 35 current destinations will also see frequency increases during winter 2023-2024. This is the case for example for Athens, which sees its weekly frequency double, but also for Milan, Phuket, and Denpasar. The new frequencies mark an increase of 21% in flights by July 2023.
